Guns Just Complicate

This was written for the ASP as a respnce to recent shootings and uprise in gun violence

The only way to stop a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun. A fraise that a lot of people are used to hearing.

The recent shooting at Clu

b Q and in Saratoga reminded me of these very words. Although very different situations they both added to an epidemic of a statistic, Gun Violence in America (https://www.gunviolencearchive.org/). With the type of guns and ammunition that is available to the public, it doesn’t matter what the response time is, people are going to get hurt and killed.

The sustainable mission is to have fewer bad guys with guns rather than creating more people who are put in very unfortunate and extreme circumstances to become heroes.

There is no policy out there (or at least that I know of) that will directly take away your guns. It’s not about limiting your freedoms but rather making your sons, daughters, parents, and partners’ life a whole lot safer. The fact that people whom I don’t know, people who could not be trained, people who might be intoxicated, and people who might just be pissed off that day could have a concealed gun on them is terrifying.

While arguing, people tend to forget the fact that the majority of guns out there are there to kill. So, when people say that we should bring more guns into our cities, towns, and even schools it makes me question their logic.

The argument isn’t against people who cleared background checks and are very trained, the argument is against allowing the people who should not have any access to weapons have them. In Saratoga, it was reported that after the Deputy showed his gun the other people showed theirs. Guns escalate situations and make them a hell of a lot more dangerous.
